Il Marocco è uno dei posti migliori per la street photography. Difficile però approcciare ad essa in quanto la gente non ama essere ritratta. La fotografia è un mezzo che riproduce anche l’immagine dell’uomo e questo processo figurativo dalla popolazione araba non è apprezzato perché vietato nei testi sacri. Ritengo che per loro la stessa porti via l’anima. Ma credo anche che nessun fotografo voglia rubare l’anima di qualcun altro. La fotografia è solo un modo per entrare in contatto con le realtà circostanti.Realtà che offrono nuove ed uniche emozioni.
Le fotografie sono state scattate durante un viaggio di due settimane, nel Dicembre del 2018. Il viaggio prevedeva un giro ad anello da Tangeri, fino a raggiungere Merzouga per ritornare di nuovo a Tangeri da Marrakech. I luoghi fotografati si ritrovano a Chefchaouen, Fez, Azrou, Rich, Merzouga, Erfoud, Jorf, Gorge de Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Marrakech.
Morocco is one of the best country for street photography. it is difficult to approach it because people here don’t like being portrayed. Photography is a medium which also reproduces the image of humans and this figurative process is not appreciated by the Arab population because it is prohibited in the sacred texts. I believe that for them it takes away the soul. But I also believe that no photographer wants to steal someone else’s soul. Photography is only one way of getting in touch with the surrounding realities. Realities that offer new and unique emotions.
The photographs were taken during a two-week trip in December 2018. The trip included a ring ride from Tangier to Merzouga and then back to Tangier from Marrakech again. The places photographed are found in Chefchaouen, Fez, Azrou, Rich, Merzouga, Erfoud, Jorf, Gorge de Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Marrakech.
